HeartSine’s Samaritan PAD 450P builds on the trusted 350P. It adds real-time CPR Rate Advisor technology. This feature gives better guidance during emergencies. It keeps the same compact, lightweight, and rugged design. But now, it offers better support for fast and accurate responses.

HeartSine’s CPR Rate Advisor offers real-time help with clear audio and visual cues. This helps rescuers stay on the correct compression rhythm while performing CPR. It needs no extra sensors. It uses data from the electrodes to provide clear, easy feedback.

During CPR, the 450P gives quick verbal cues like “push faster,” “push slower,” and “good speed.” These prompts help keep the right rhythm. A visual indicator also shows the compression pace. It works smoothly with the standard Pad-Pak from the 350P. No special electrodes are needed.

Rate Feedback Without an Extra Puck

Most AEDs that coach compression rate need a separate sensor placed on the chest. The 450P reads the rate through the electrodes you already applied. There is nothing extra to position and nothing extra to replace. The feedback covers rate, not depth, and applies to adult patients.

Choosing the 450P Over the 350P

Both units are semi-automatic, weigh 2.4 lbs. and share the same IP56 rating and 8-year warranty. The difference is coaching. If your responders are trained and drill regularly, the 350P is enough. If the AED sits in a building where CPR quality depends on whoever is closest, the CPR Rate Advisor is worth the step up.

What Comes With the Package

The bundle covers the whole setup, not just the device. You get the 450P with pre-installed Pad-Pak, a carry case, a wall cabinet, a three-way sign, a wall poster, an inspection card, an “AED On-Site” window decal and a first responder kit. Mount the cabinet along a route people already walk and put the decal at the entrance so arriving paramedics know the site is equipped.

Upkeep and Pediatric Use

Pads and battery sit in one Pad-Pak cartridge with a single expiration date, replaced about every four years. Rescue data is reviewed over USB with Saver EVO software, and the optional HeartSine Gateway adds readiness reporting to LIFELINKcentral. For children aged one to eight or under 55 lbs., the Pediatric-Pak cartridge (sold separately) delivers a reduced 50J shock.
