Recertified Used AED Devices

We provide recertified AEDs from top FDA-approved brands. These devices are reliable and professionally tested, all at a lower cost. These gently used units perform as well as new models. They also offer a more budget-friendly choice.

Every Recertified AED in our Re-New® Series Is Guaranteed

You can buy a used AED from us with confidence. Each recertified device comes with a three-year warranty. That’s much longer than what most other resellers offer. We recertify only lightly used units. Each one undergoes thorough testing before it reaches you. This ensures reliable performance and greater peace of mind.

Our 9-Point AED Recertification Process

When looking at a recertified AED, check how the seller does their recertification. The testing and inspection levels can vary a lot between different providers. AEDTS uses a strict recertification process. This step-by-step process ensures every used AED operates like it did when new.
  1. Each unit is thoroughly tested using a Fluke Impulse 7000 defibrillator analyzer. This device simulates a shockable rhythm. It checks if the unit gives the correct joule output and meets FDA standards.
  2. We record each AED’s performance in digital and paper formats. This gives us a full record of its testing and reliability.
  3. Each AED has new, genuine OEM pads and a fresh OEM battery. Both have full end dates for most readiness and longevity.
  4. We upgrade the AED to ensure compliance with the most recent AHA guidelines.
  5. We thoroughly clean and sanitize each unit, followed by a full digital inspection. We replace parts like the case or lid when needed. Each device comes with a new first responder kit. This way, we ensure complete readiness.
  6. We check the internal circuitry to ensure it works correctly. This way, it can perform its routine self-checks after leaving our facility.
  7. We meticulously pack and ship the AED, following all requirements and best practices for shipping medical devices.
  8. We track end dates for all pads and batteries. This helps us send 60- and 30-day reminders when it’s time to replace them.
  9. We manage all EMS and FDA compliance tasks. This includes submitting tracking details and informing the manufacturer. You’ll get timely updates if there's a recall or safety alert.

Are Recertified AEDs the Same as Refurbished AEDs?

It’s key to know how a recertified AED differs from a refurbished one. Refurbished units are usually sold as is. Recertified AEDs, so, come with a warranty. This provides extra assurance and protection.

Are Recertified AEDs Good?

Recertified AEDs work as well as new ones, as long as they have solid warranty protection. When buying used, pick devices with a multi-year guarantee. This way, you can be sure they are reliable and feel at ease.

Why Are Used AEDs Traded In?

Most used AEDs in our inventory have seen little to no use. Organizations often trade in devices for many reasons. This helps provide high-quality units at a lower cost.
  • Some large organizations trade all their AEDs at once. This helps standardize equipment across locations. It makes training easier and simplifies replacing supplies.
  • Customers often swap their AEDs for models that fit their needs better. This includes units with built-in pediatric settings or new features like Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Our leasing plans often let customers upgrade their AED when they renew. This means lightly used units get exchanged for newer models.
